Coaches

BSC’s Code of Ethics for Coaches

I will embrace the idea that having fun, improving skills, sportsmanship, and respecting yourself by doing your best is more important than winning.

I will teach my players fair play, respecting the rules of the game, the officials and our opponents.

I will ensure that all players receive equal amount of playing time, support and instruction.

I will interact with officials and other coaches in a positive and respectful manner.

I will respect social conventions (shaking hands, acknowledging good play by my own team as well as the team we are playing).

If there is a dispute on the field about a call, I will handle it either on a time out, at half time or at the end of the game.

I will be reasonable when scheduling practices, remembering that my players might have other interests and obligations that they must meet.
